Group Events & Private Parties
Complexions Spa welcomes groups for special occasions as we understand it can be a very festive time and we’re happy you have chosen us to accommodate you. In regard to spa etiquette, we do ask all guests to be mindful of other guests who use this facility for rest and relaxation. With that said, please remember to keep noise levels at a minimum in the spa, especially in the Serenity Relaxation Lounge, Locker Rooms, Wellness Lounge and outside of the treatment rooms. Thank you very much in advance for this consideration. It is our responsibility that all guests of the spa are able to unplug and enjoy their time away.
Complexions provides a number of different services and therefore falls under many spa categories. First and foremost we are a Day Spa, which is defined as a spa offering a variety of professionally administered spa services to clients on a day-use basis. However, each of our locations also provides specialty services that qualify us as more than a traditional day spa: at our Albany location we provide Medical Spa services and in our new Saratoga location we utilize the mineral spring waters, rendering that location a Mineral Springs Spa.
Complexions is devoted to overall well-being through a variety of professional services that encourage the renewal of mind. body and spirit. To enjoy your spa experience to the fullest, please take a moment to observe this Spa Etiquette and FAQ page to ensure your satisfaction and comfort while visiting the spa.
To make the most of your Spa experience and support the benefits of your treatment, we recommend you arrive a minimum of 15-30 minutes prior to your scheduled service start time. This will allow for you to change into a robe and slippers and enjoy some leisurely time in our Serenity Relaxation Lounge with a cup of our signature Tranquility Relaxation Tea.
Late arrivals will be subject to reduced treatment times.
For your convenience everything you need is provided! A robe, towels, and sandals will be given to you when you arrive along with a locker to store your personal belongings. Shower facilities, sauna, steam rooms and personal care items are also available for your convenience. The Spa can not be held responsible for lost or damaged items. Please leave valuables at home or in your locker.
This is a matter of personal preference, and we will never compromise your modesty. You will be given a robe to change into before your treatment(s). During all treatments you will be properly draped for ensured privacy. Under the robe? It’s up to you. Many guests choose to disrobe completely, but others prefer to leave their undergarments on. Therapists will only expose the portion of your body that is being treated at the time. If you are having a treatment for the first time, feel free to ask our spa attendant how you should be dressed.
It is also important to note that our Saratoga location has a co-ed wellness area where you can enjoy the sauna, steam room, and deluge cold plunge. Considering this space is co-ed, a bathing suit is required. In our Albany location, these areas are in separate men’s and women’s locker rooms, so attire is completely up to you.
We do, however, recommend a bathing suit for all hydrotherapy services in both location.
Please advise us of any health conditions, allergies, or injuries that could affect your treatments or use of our spa amenities when making your Spa reservation. First time guests will be asked to complete a personal health form prior to receiving any treatments. Communication with your spa concierge and service provider is essential for you to receive the most personalized care. All information is confidential.
We offer many services that are both safe and enjoyable for expecting mothers. A concierge will be happy to assist you in selecting the perfect treatment(s). Certain treatments and techniques may not be suitable during the first trimester. We recommend that you check with your physician before booking any spa services.
The Spa environment is one of tranquility and relaxation. Please help us to maintain the serenity of the spa/salon by refraining from using your mobile phone, personal electronic devices, and camera while enjoying the Spa. This also ensures the privacy of all of our guest’s and maintains a quiet and relaxing environment.
As a courtesy to all, we ask that a twenty-four-hour notice be given if you need to cancel or change your appointment. For a cancellation with less than a twenty-four-hour notification, guests will be charged 50 percent of the treatment fee. For no-show appointments, the full treatment fee will be charged.
Please keep in mind that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled services.
We accept all major credit cards, Complexions Gift Cards, as well as cash. We do not accept payment by check.
Most guests choose to leave a 18-20% gratuity. Gratuity are accepted by cash or check. For your convenience, an ATM machine is available in our Albany location lobby and across the street from our Saratoga location at NBT Bank.
When your treatment has ended and the therapist extends an invitation to “take your time getting up” while they leave the room, just how long is it acceptable for one to continue lying there reflecting on the experience? In most instances, the treatment room will be needed in the next 15 minutes or so for the next guest. It is certainly appropriate to take your time while dressing, such as five to 10 minutes. Your therapist will meet you outside of the room and will escort you back to the Serenity Relaxation Lounge.
Please pay particular attention the spa hours of operation. The steam and sauna are shut down at our designated closing time in order for us to prepare properly for the next day. If you would like to enjoy these amenities we suggest you arrive 30 minutes ahead of time so not to feel rushed.
Pleases refrain from drinking alcohol before any service in our spa and wellness areas including: facials, massage, body treatments, use of the steam and or sauna area. Safety is always first at Complexions and consuming alcohol could have health implications.
The Complexions Spa facilities and services are catered to adults only and are appropriate for guests 18 years of age and older.
